Why New Plymouth needs it's own independent seat.

Why do we need our own New Plymouth Independent Representative?
Having our own seat will ensure better collaboration between our district council and Central Govt, Such would set us apart from other regions.
This will enable us to better negotiate Govt funding, for special projects and critical infrastructure.
The Mayoral Forum (being a separate identity) from the district council would be the ideal forum, from which the representative of the seat would take advice, on best to benefit our district.
The Mayoral Forum is already aware of our region's issues, and funding that is required from Govt.
We can no longer rely on the political whims of political party candidates, who in the main, just wave the flag for their particular political party and ideologies.
We deserve better.
We need our own seat and representative that represents all of us,
To accomplish this, we need your help. It just takes one of your two ticks in the upcoming election.
To back ourselves and support our own Independent Representative give The New Plymouth Independent Seat your constituent vote.
Note: The Taranaki Mayoral Forum is made up of South Taranaki Mayor Phil Nixon, Stratford Mayor Neil Volzke, New Plymouth Mayor Neil Holdom, and Taranaki Regional Council Chair Charlotte Littlewood. Presently Rusty Kane Independent is the representative of The New Plymouth Independent Seat.
